

You can't switch ammunitions and only specific units/factions even have access to different amunition in the first place. We are talking about single unit-formations such as a testudo or a spearwall. Has nothing to do with the tabletop game. The old formation system simply became obsolete. The system is just more streamlined now and more customizable. You can manually setup your formation, and then lock that group into formation. It has literally nothing to do with that. It fits a historical title but not warhammer and it would be even harder to balance.īretonnia get their Lance-Formation which is the only formation in the tabletop, just as Bretonnia is one of the only factions that has flame arrows and the Empire doesn't. You already have to micro so much in the game, that it really would be too much.
